NASA Releases the Video of a Star While Being Destroyed by a Black Hole

Recently, experts captured the moment when a massive black hole completely swallowed a nearby star. This case was recorded by NASA from beginning to end.

NASA satellite TESS was engineered to search for distant exoplanets. However, it managed to capture a star located 375 million years-light away from our planet being destroyed by a huge black hole, leaving a bright round mark in its place.

The star was similar to our Sun in proportion. This phenomenon was first discovered by an international network of telescopes, and later on, experts studied it in detail with the help of TESS.

Cases of stars being destroyed by black holes are very common in the Universe. Black holes feature such a powerful gravitational force that the star is completely torn apart, and the remaining matter continues to emit light as a consequence of the amount of hot gas.
